Hellen Guicheney, University of São Paulo and CEM

Hellen is pursuing her Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of São Paulo (USP) and holds her M.A. from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). She is currently a researcher at the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CEM). Formerly, she coordinated ​​ programs for evaluating public policies at the Secretary of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MG). She also has served as a member of the Summer School Staff for two years. Her primary fields of interest are social policy, federal coordination, and comparative analysis of participatory institutions. In 2019, she will be a teaching fellow for the "Designing Feasible Research Projects" and the ""Advanced Research Design in Political Science:  From Modeling to Manuscript" courses. This is the third time she is working with Professor Allyson Benton in the Summer School.
