Is it possible to get funding for personal expenses?
Students will be responsible for their own expenses in São Paulo, including travel to and from São Paulo, room and board, transportation and entertainment.
Are there available sources of funding to help defray the costs of the IPSA-USP Summer School?
The IPSA-USP Summer School has secured two awards that provide support for students to participate in the Summer School. Thanks to the support from the International Political Science Association, the IPSA-USP Summer School has a special scholarship for Ph.D. students from Latin America (outside Brazil) which provides a travel grant in the amount of US$500. Thanks to IPSOS support, the IPSA-USP Summer School is also providing travel grants of US$1000 to 3 graduate student applicants from developing countries. If you wish to apply for these grants, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. with a letter of interest and a copy of your CV. Applicants must enroll and send a letter of interest by November 1, 2018.
The IPSA-USP Summer School is delighted to share the good news that a scholarship will be granted to an applicant who is a member of the Brazilian Political Science Association (ABCP). The ABCP will select the recipient based on all members of the ABCP who have enrolled in the Summer School with a random lottery. The selected applicant will be granted a tuition waiver. If you are a member of the ABCP and are not selected for the scholarship, the IPSA-USP Summer school also offers a 5% discount off tuition.
